It’s time for the men’s final of week 5! Julian Cash lines up against Charles Broom for the title! Julian Cash is the highest ranked player in the men’s draw but Charles Broom has not dropped a set yet this week!

It’s been neck and neck in this first set, both players serving really well. No breaks of serve until 5-6 where Cash is able to force a set point against serve with a delicious passing shot. He can’t convert the chance and we are into a tiebreak!

Charles Broom has won the tiebreak! He gets a mini-break up to 6-3 and with two set points on his serve he should wrap this up! He doesn’t take the first chance but a net chord on the second means that he takes the set! A great start for the UKPL debutant. It’s tough on Cash who played well but couldn’t take any of his three break points.

In the third set, Broom gets a mini-break to give himself a small lead. Cash is becoming more frustrated as this match goes on. A massive ace at 1-4 gives Cash a foothold and he is slowly coming back into it. The tiebreak goes deep! Match points saved on both sides before Broom finishes the game off! What a debut from Charles Broom.
