The Finals
The inaugural edition of the UK Pro League – UK Pro Series & Classic – ran for 6 weeks from 6th July to 16th August 2020 at St. George’s Hill Tennis Club, when the United Kingdom was facing one of the toughest periods of the last few years due to the COVID-19 pandemic restrictions.
The new series attracted many of the top British players with the likes Emma Raducanu, Jodie Burrage, Harriet Dart and Naomi Broady competing on the women’s side along with Liam Broady, James Ward, Ryan Peniston, Lloyd Glasspool for the men.
Liam Broady, the UK number 8, and Emma Raducanu, the 17-year old rising star of British tennis became the inaugural UK Pro champions, each winning the iconic golden pineapple trophy after 42 days of elite competitive tennis.
